
1963 - Western Isles Cruise
We are delighted to share these fantastic slides kindly submitted by Douglas Gordon from a cruise aboard LOCHMOR in 1963 from Mallaig to Tarbert, Harris via the Small Isles.

Douglas writes: “The colour photos are scanned from mothers colour slides. Black & White photos are from a small camera I had. Our cruise went from Kyle of Lochalsh, to Mallaig, then out to Eigg. I think it was where a small open motor boat came and the ship lowered the supplies by crane to an open motor boat. Then to Canna where the harbour was cut out of rock I think from memory and we had to reverse out, then we arrived at Lochboisdale about midnight and I remember opening curtains to look at all the boats in the harbour Then arrived at Tarbert in Harris in the morning then sailed back to Kyle of Lochalsh.”
